At PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Sambalpur, we have replaced the tradition of distributing chocolates on birthdays with a new initiative of gifting plant saplings and pens to promote environmental awareness and education. While saplings instill a sense of responsibility towards nature, pens symbolize the importance of knowledge and learning. This thoughtful initiative makes birthdays meaningful and contributes positively to both the school’s environmental and academic values.
